Soundtrack - Beverly Hills Cop (1984)

"Beverly Hills Cop" was the movie that thrust Eddie Murphy into the big time and not only is the movie fast paced, but so is the soundtrack which mainly features an uptempo dance style. The album includes danceable R&B tracks such as "Neutron Dance" by the Pointer Sisters, "New Attitude" by Patti Labelle, "The Heat Is On" by Glenn Frey, "Don't Get Stopped In Beverly Hills" by Shalamar as well as the movie's theme (and one of the most recognisable themes of all time) the brilliant "Axel F" by Harold Faltemeyer. Both the movie and the soundtrack were incredibly successful.
This album is simply one of the best soundtrack albums of all time.
