The Brandos - Gunfire At Midnight (1992)

The Brandos are an American rock band formed in New York in 1985. The core members are vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Dave Kincaid and bassist and vocalist Ernie Mendillo.
To discribe the style of The Brandos, you could say they updated The Sonics and Creedence Clearrwater Revival, and added a touch of REM. But The Brandos are much more than just a rock-style. They are distinctive personalities with the thrue spirit.
“Gunfire At Midnight” is their third album and is a awesome and display the musical skill of the band as well as Dave Kincaids’ thought provoking lyrics. A no brainer for those already fans or for Creedence Clearwater Revival fans looking for a more modern example of quitessentialy American folk influenced rock & roll. On “Gunfire At Midnight” even the band still managed it, to put the songs even more dramatic, exciting and perched above the voice of Kincaid. The title track is a worthy opener with class guitar riffs. “One Dog Brown” is probably a Brumbling Hillbilly, who else has a rebel flag and a half-dead dog at his side. every song here handle to be a best of album hit, the songs of milling without detours right in the ear and linger there. “How The Dice Fall” a straight rock song, while “The Last Tambourine” made the friends of the rockabilly happy . They have also established a strong fan base in Europe, where they have done promotion and extensive touring since the late 1980s. They have occasionally made it high on the record charts in countries such as the Netherlands.
