The Jones Family Band - An Electrified Joint Effort? (1971-1973 US Folk Psych Blues)

This album is a true hidden gem of the folk psych garag* scene, blending blues passages with oriental touches that perfectly meld into the raw and homemade production style!
Recorded between 1971 and 1973, it never saw the light of day at the time and was only released in 2002 by the label World In Sound!
The limited vinyl edition quickly became a coveted relic for collectors of psychedelic and experimental rock!

The band was formed in Detroit by Val Zukowski, who previously led the group Joint Effort! After its dissolution, Zukowski founded The Jones Family Band, steering the sound towards a heavier folk blues, with mind-blowing wah-wah guitars and improvisation-packed solos!
The album combines acoustic sounds with homemade effects and stands out for its dirty electric guitars, creating a chaotic and hypnotic atmosphere reminiscent of underground bands like Fraction and Bentwind!
Among the standout tracks are "Classical War", "The Prisoner", and "Rosalyn", which capture the raw and experimental energy of the band!
The amateur and homemade production adds even more authenticity to the album, which is highly valued by enthusiasts of unpolished, improvisational psych folk! This rare piece remained hidden in the rock underground for many years until it was rediscovered by collectors and fans of underground rock!
For true collectors and lovers of raw, improvisational psychedelia, "An Electrified Joint Effort" is an essential piece! It’s one of those albums that encapsulates the essence of rock in its purest and most unpolished form! A true rare venom and definitely a post that perfectly fits Venenos do Rock!!!
