Daniël Lohues formed in the spring of 2003 the band Lohues & The Louisiana Blues Club. This he does in the United States with local Blues artists by making the album "Ja Boeh". The lyrics are written in the Drents. (a Dutch dialect) If the band goes on tour, then find there is some changes in the occupation. In the spring of 2005 they recorded a second album named "Grip" . As guest musician on this album plays Candy Dulfer on saxophone.
The title of this album comes from the eponymous song that tells about the devil, a kind of Crossroads-song to Robert Johnson. The chorus: indifferent, 't veurbij gevaor. And the duuvel had grip on me.
